CLASS 10 - ART

Rules & Regulations:

1. Entries will be received in the Community Centre Wednesday & Thursday before the fair from 6-8 pm or Friday between 9 and 11am. All articles on exhibit in the Community Centre must not be removed until 4:30 pm on Sunday and must be removed no later than 5:30 pm.
2. All entries in this competition must be original and created by the exhibitor. There is no time limit as to when the piece of art was created, just that it has not been entered in the Thorndale Fair in any previous year.
3. Exhibitors may only show one article in each section.
4. Exhibitors must show receipt when picking up entry. Directors are not responsible for any exhibit left at the show.
5. Art must be framed and ready to hang OR IT WILL NOT BE JUDGED. Acceptable methods of hanging include wiring on the back, sawtooth/alligator tooth, and pre-made frame with metal hooks (not cardboard).
6. Canvas pieces should be painted on the edges. Graphite art should be sprayed with a fixatif (found at art stores) or placed behind glass. Watercolour pieces need to be matted and behind glass.
