We know that COVID is a scary thing to many people and the Thorndale Agricultural Society who hosts the Thorndale Fall Fair have been in constant contact with the Middlesex London Health Unit (MLHU) and we have an approved safety plan which allows us to run the 164th edition of the Thorndale Fall Fair from September 24-26, 2021.
FAQ’s
Will we need to provide proof of vaccine?
No you will not. The Thorndale Fall Fair is being held exclusively outside this year with the exception of the School Fair Exhibits which will be located in the gym of the community centre. The community centre will be a food & drink free zone but masks will be required while in the building.
Are you doing any contact tracing?
YES! Before entering the grounds we ask that each person complete either an online contact tracing form using our QR code or a paper version which is available online for printing and at the gate for ease of use.
Do we need to wear a mask?
Masks are mandatory when inside any buildings, washrooms, etc. Masks are highly encouraged while on the grounds but MUST be worn outside when standing in lines or when social distancing of 2 meters can not be maintained.
Does the fair have Middlesex London Health Unit approval to go on?
YES! The Thorndale Agricultural Society has filed a COVID Safety Plan with MLHU which has received approval. Our COVID Safety Plan Snap Shot is available for anyone who would like to read it. We have been in contact with the Health Unit since the announcement of the Section 22 order and we are good to go!
Is the fair subject to gathering limits the Section 22 order of the MLHU?
No we are not. Under the Reopening Ontario (https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/200364) in Section 28 there are guidelines set out for Fairs, rural exhibitions and festivals which allow us to have our event with more than 100 people in attendance.
