Original pencil sketch or 500 word essay on any aspect of the Thorndale Fair and what it means to you. Do not do both sketch and essay.
Prize money: $5, $3, $2

Remember, the above specials are included in total points and in number of entries for Senior Royal competion!

Bernardin Special "Best of the Show" Home Canning Award
Contestant 10 - 18 years but there must be a minimum of 5 contestants to award the prize.

Home canning categores:

• Jam or Jelly
• Pickles or relish
• Fruit
• Salsa

To qualify as an exhibitor in this competition, you ust enter one jar from any of the above listed Home Canning categories. A maximum of 4 jars may be entered separately by one exhibitor - that is, one jar of each of one or more of the above listed Home Canning categories. NOTE - it is not necessary to enter more than one jar to be a winner. The winner will be judge's choice of the best overall canning entry submitted.

First Prize only to be awarded.

Note: Prize winning preserves must be sealed with BERNADIN lid and must be in a jar specifically designed for home canning. Recipe msut accompany preserves. Prize will not be awarded to improperly processed goods.

Bernardin Special does not count towards the Junior and Senior Royal.
