Class One - Country Fair Baking Contest

Rules

  1. All entrants must submit entries that were made using the sponsor’s product.
  2. A product label must accompany each entry as proof of purchase.
  3. A recipe must accompany each entry.
  4. All entries will be judged on appearance, texture and creativity of presentation. The decision of the judge will be final.
  5. Winners must be available for a photograph to be submitted to the sponsor with their name, address and recipe. Winner must sign a permission form allowing the sponsor to use their name, photograph and recipe in any advertising or publicity without payment.
  6. Country Fair Baking National Contests: The first place winner in each local fair is
    automatically entered in the national contests when their proof of purchase, recipe
    and signed declaration and release form are submitted to Country Fair Baking by the local fair convenor. An entrant will be selected in Aurora, Ontario by an agent of the sponsoring company from all the eligible entries received. Only winners will be
    contacted. By submitting an entry, which includes a signed release form, contestants agree to the use of their name and winning recipe for promotional purposes by the sponsor.

    Best Homemade Pie (double crust). Judging to be based on appearance, taste, texture, and recipe creativity.

  2. Robin Hood Flour - Best Family Favourite Recipe Contest
    Best Homemade Muffins - 3 muffins per entry. Judging to be based on appearance, taste, texture, and recipe creativity.
    1st - $25 Product Certificate, 2nd - $10 Product Certificate

    Robin Hood Flour - Best Family Favourite Recipe National Contest
    Eligibility: First Place Winner of Robin Hood Flour Best Family Recipe Contest from each fair with submission of information by the local fair convener. Winner will be selected by the Country Fair Baking Contest sponsors on December 15, 2009.
    1st - $100

  3. Robin Hood Flour - Beginners Best Lunchbox Snack Contest
    Best Homemade Squares or bars by contestant 12 years or younger
    (3 squares or bars per entry). Judging to be based on appearance, taste, texture, and recipe creativity.
    1st - $15

    Eligibility: First place winner of the Best Lunchbox Snack Contest from each fair with the submission of the local fair convener. Winner will be selected by the Country Fair Baking Contest sponsors on December 15, 2009.

  4. Crisco Best Family Favourite Recipe Baking Contest
    Best Homemade Tarts - 3 tarts per entry. Judging to be based on appearance, taste, texture, and recipe creativity.
    1st - $25 Product Certificate, 2nd - $10 Product Certificate

  5. Fleischmann’s Yeast - Best Bread Contest
    Best Homemade Bread, any type. Judging will be based on appearance, taste, texture and recipe creativity.
    1st - $15 plus Gift Prize, 2nd - $10 plus Gift Prize

    Best Homemade Bread from Contestants under Age 16. Judging will be based on appearance, taste, texture and recipe creativity.

  7. Mazola and Bee Hive - Best Baking Contest
    Best Homemade Sticky Buns - 3 buns per entry. Judging to be based on appearance, taste, texture, and recipe creativity.
    1st - $15 plus gift prize, 2nd - $10 plus gift prize
  8. Certo - Best Jam or Jelly Contest
    Best Homemade Jam or Jelly. Judging to be based on appearance, taste, texture, and recipe creativity.
    1st - $20 Product Certificate, 2nd - $10 Product Certificate

Middlesex County Dairy Producers Committee Special

Your Favourite Dessert
A four inch piece of your favourite dessert using at least two dairy products. Two proofs of purchase and recipe to be attractively displayed with the entry. Will be judged on taste, texture and creativity of display.
