Poultry

Rules and Regulations:

  1. Each exhibitor must have a membership number.
  2. An entry fee of $1.00 will be charged for each entry in each section.
    Prize Money in all sections will be $3, $2, $1.50
  3. Entries must be in the hands of Nancy Urquhart, 21723 Nissouri Road, Thorndale, ON N0M 2P0 no later than September 7th, giving class and section numbers on each entry.
  4. Positively no late entries.
  5. All exhibitors will be allowed 2 entries only per section.
  6. All entries to be judged individually, but cooped in pairs, if possible.
  7. Entry fees must accompany entry form.
  8. All entries to be judged by the new revised standard of perfection. Prizes will not be awarded to a bird unless deemed worthy by the judge.
  9. Any scik bird will be rejected by Poultry Superintendent.
  10. Exhibitors placing birds in coops or extra birds in showroom, which are not officially in the show will be charged double the entry fee and deducted from prize winnings. This will be strictly enforced.
  11. Entries will be accepted to the cappacity of the show room only.
  12. Entries will be accepted between the hours of 3:00 - 9:00 pm on the Friday of the Fair.

Notice to all Poultry Exhibitors:

All birds entered must originate from Salmonella Pullorum - Typhoid clean provinces, states, countries or have been tested (to Animal Disease and Protection Act - Section 79 standards) with negative results to be eligable for entry.

Specials
Rosettes donated by R. Frampton for Best Standard Poultry, Best in Bantams, Best in Pigeons, Best in Ducks, Best in Geese, Best in Rabbits

Youth (Age 7-17 years) Poulty & Pet Stock Trophy
to winner of most prize money who will have name engraved on a permanent trophy along with past winners since 1989 from the London, Wallacetown, Shedden, and Aylmer fairs. Please indicate your age on your entry form. Trophy donated by the Art Cartier Family.

Exhibitors may compete in up to 10 of 16 secions. Two entries per section.
